Composition

  • Advisory Committee of administrators from each major university data stakeholder
  • Steering Committee of Vice Presidents of various departments that create or analyze key university data
  • Working groups tasked by the committee to complete specific projects
  • Oversight of the committee by the Executive Vice Presidents and SVP/COO
  • Day to day operations jointly overseen by UIS and OADS committee chairs

Goals

  • Serve as the centralized hub for documenting people, process, and technology integral to the university’s data strategy
  • Coordinate Georgetown’s efforts to ensure quality, valid data is provided to campus stakeholders through effective data governance
  • Implement technology improvements that more effectively leverage our data assets
